Visit the gardens

Trenance Cottages are located in the heart of the pretty Trenance Gardens.

With beautifully maintained beds, a picturesque babbling stream and large shady trees, Trenance Gardens are a must if visiting Newquay. The gardens also house a stunning Rose Garden  with a stunning pergola which bursts into life in June.

Next to the gardens is the Trenance Boating Lake with rowing boats and pedalows available to hire and perfect for a family day out. If you fancy something a little less energetic, why not stroll around the gardens and Boating Lake and feed the resident ducks and swans.
The beautiful gardens are only a short stroll away from Newquay Zoo, the Heron Tennis Cente and Trenance Play ground with a miniature train which runs during summer months.

After an afternoon exploring the gardens, museum and neighbouring attractions, visit one of the two delicious cafes and restaurants  located in the gardens and boating lake. The Lakeside Restaurant is located next to the boating lake and the Garden Tea Room is situated on the grounds of Trenance Cottages and is attached to the museum.

As the gardens are perfectly flat, they are ideal for wheel chair access and push chairs.
