The heritage museum is free to enter and manned by our wonderful volunteers.
There is plenty to see and do at the museum, so we suggest you set aside at least 30 minutes to come in and explore the artefact and speak to our wonderful volunteers. If you are planning a longer visit or combining your visit to the museum with a pit stop at The Garden tearoom, then please do come and spend a few hours here with us and enjoy the wonderful view of Trenance Gardens, a garden that has achieved the prestigious 5 Star Parks Award from Britain in Bloom, South West.
From time to time we may have to close the museum slightly early for private functions, so please keep an eye out on our Facebook page for notices of early closures or contact us to prior to visiting to double check.
Friendly, well behaved dogs are welcome in the museum.
A visit to the museum can be incorporated with several other activities as well, including the Discovery Trail, the Newquay Tree Walk, or a trip to Newquay Zoo and the Trenance Leisure Park area. For further information about these self-guided walks and leisure facilities, please visit the Visit Newquay website.
Accessibility
In terms of accessibility, most of the site is flat with wheelchair access and there is access to a disabled toilet and baby change facilities. However, the rooms upstairs in the museum are reached by a narrow staircase. Those with mobility issues are encouraged to call us prior to visiting so we can share more detailed information. Or, if you are onsite, we would encourage you to speak to one of our volunteers who will be able to share their knowledge and understanding of any accessibility issues with you.
