Volunteering at Trenance Cottages
Trenance Cottages Newquay are always looking for new volunteers to join our growing band of helpers.
If you have time on your hands, enjoy meeting new people, and care about Newquay’s heritage, please do get in touch.
We welcome people of all ages and support volunteering opportunities for short-, medium- and long-term commitments. We are flexible in our approach to volunteering as we understand everyone has a different reason to help.
By volunteering, you will help the charity and the board of trustees to keep the cottages alive and contribute towards the preservation and protection of the Cottages.
The benefits of volunteering are vast. From gaining practical experience, to enhance your CV and standing out from a crowd, to the social benefits of meeting new friends and mixing with the local community; all these items can lead to a positive change for yourself and for the community.
Currently we have vacancies for the following roles:
• Stewarding duties in the heritage museum;
• Helping with weddings;
• Helping with special events including Santa’s Grotto, Halloween and Spring Fayre;
• Even gardening and helping to preserve the beauty of our grounds!
We are also open to ideas and hearing how your skill set can help us develop as a charity, so please don’t limit yourself to the options above – get in touch and let us know just how you can help. You can come along to one of our volunteer open mornings that run throughout the year or you can simply drop by and introduce yourself when the site is open. Alternatively, you can contact one of our trustees, Mavis Warman on 01637 874380, to discuss our volunteering opportunities in more detail.
